More questions to answer:
  • A search engine is a program designed to help find information stored on a computer system such as the World Wide Web, inside a corporate or proprietary network or a personal computer.
  • Serach engines rank their stuff after the key word you write in the search box and to how many links the stuff that comes up have about that. What comes up is not neccesarily what you are searhing for bacause you get the pages with the most links, not the ones with the most correst answer to your request. This is also what makes one page more "useful" than a nother one. Always check your references and how correct the material you get is compared to other stuff you might find.
  • I always use google, yahoo, or wikipedia cause it is easy to find what you are searching for and it has references that I can check against other material to see if it is ringht and important to what I need to find out. I am just not very familiar with other engines so thats why i use the ones i use, and i am satisfied most of the time using them.
